Mother's Day pampering

Ok- So I am a week late on this post, but I told Kaylee I would post a picture.

For Mother's Day I treated Mom and myself to pedicures. I think this was only the 2nd pedicure that Mom has ever had and my 3rd. Although the ladies there didn't speak English, I think they did a good job.

I don't like my feet, but a pedicure always makes them look better.

A new coat of Paint

Although I don't really enjoy my job, the guys outside have been taking care of this car for me.

The Volvo actually has some paint on it now. Although I can't wait to buy a new car soon- at least I can drive a car now that has paint on it.

The only bad thing about it- I now have to wash it every once in awhile.

Before- the only before picture I have

There you go Kaylee- I haven't ruined your car. I have actually made it better =)

Bridal Shower

I love these girls. It was a lot of fun to see them.

I am looking forward to Katherine's wedding. And Suzanne's in the near future.

And I can't believe how big she is getting.

Good Times

My beautiful and talented friend Janessa came into town this last week. We went to institute on Wednesday and then I introduced her to Yogurtland. As you can see she approved. It had been way too long since I had seen her. Janessa come back soon.

My New Found Love

Yogurtland aka "A little piece of Heaven"

I LOVE this place. Whoever came up with this place must have had me in mind. For those of you who don't know- Yogurtland is a simply amazing and you shouldn't just take me word for it, but try it yourself. It is a self-serve frozen yogurt place were they have 20 or so different flavors of frozen yogurt to choose from. Enough choices even for the pickiest eaters. After making your selections you move on the the topping choices. There has to be 40+ options to choose from. And what makes this place even more amazing is your yummy creation will only cost you $0.30/oz. Purely amazing.

Here are a couple pictures of my latest creation.

Happy Easter

I know it has been a really long time since I have updated this. And I know you all have been anxiously awaiting my next update. I hope you aren't too disappointed with this short post without any pictures, but I promise to post more soon and I included a link that I think you will enjoy.

I am very thankful for for this Easter season. I don't think that I have put as much thought into the miraculous event that happened and life that we celebrate this day. I think over the past year I have gained a greater appreciation for Jesus Christ, His life, Atonement and His Resurrection than I have in the past and I pray my understanding and gratitude continue to deepen.

I know that Christ lives. I know that he was born a humble birth as a little baby in a manger. I know he grew in stature and knowledge a little by little. He received grace for grace. He established His church while he was on the earth with Apostles to teach and show the people the way. I know that Jesus Christ suffered and bore all of or griefs and pains, both physically and spiritually. He knows us each personally. He loves us. He rose from the grave and conquered death for me and you. As we study and ponder the life of the Savior we learn how to more fully come unto Him. I know that He wants us all, no matter where we are in our lives at this moment to Come unto Him. Now is the time. We do not have to walk alone in this life.

I really enjoyed this link of a modern day Prophet of God sharing some of His thoughts on the Savior Jesus Christ. Please take a couple minutes to watch by clicking HERE.

I love you all. Happy Easter.

Staples Center

Night out with Dad

My Dad got tickets to the Clippers/Celtics game last Wednesday. Luckily for me, my Mom didn't want to go and had Young Women's to go to, so I got to go.

We were excited for a great game. We had great seats and thought that we would be able to sit back and enjoy a great game with the Celtics wiping the floor with the Clippers.

Unfortunately we were wrong and the Clippers some how squeaked out a win over the Celtics.
Despite the loss it was a fun night.

Thanks Dad!

IQ testing for Job Placement???

I found this on my friend Colette's blog. (thanks Colette) It is a some type of Japanese IQ test that they are supposedly giving when people apply for a job.

Here are the rules
1) Everyone must cross the river
2) Only 2 people on the raft at a time
3) The father cannot stay with either of the daughters without the mother's presence
4) The mother cannot stay with either of the sons without the father's presence
5) The thief (striped shirt) cannot stay with any family member if the policeman is not there
6) Only the father, mother, and policeman know how to operate the raft.

When you click on the link- click on the blue circle to get started! Click on the people to get them on the raft. Then click on the red pole on the opposite side of the river to move the raft.

This took me a good 10 minutes. It is possible. It did make my head hurt a little though.
